When you can't look on the bright side, I will sit with you in the dark
~Lewis Carroll
I am a native Texan and grew up in the Austin area. I obtained my B.A. in Psychology from Southwestern University in 2013. Post grad I attended The University of Mary-Hardin Baylor to complete my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. After graduation, I worked for a local non-profit agency helping recent adult parolees reintegrate successfully back into society.
Most recently, I was a Department Counselor for Williamson County Juvenile Services and worked primarily with youth and their families. I am trained in several trauma-informed therapies such as Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and have several years of experience working with victims of sexual assault/abuse and commercial sexual exploitation/sex trafficking, recently being selected through Austin Police Department (APD) to work with their Victim's Services Unit.
I began my private practice with the hopes of reaching more people in need and expanding my skills and expertise.
